- Herrin Grabs the Holeshot
During a weekend off from his AMA Superbike duties, Josh Herrin (8) won SEMRA’s Supermoto class in his first attempt at round two, hosted by Middle Georgia Kart Track in Dublin, Georgia. Herrin grabbed the holeshot on his Graves Yamaha YZ450F and led the race from start to finish. Close behind Herrin was Supermoto season points leader Ben Robinson, and rounding out the podium was another Herrin, Josh’s little brother Zack.

- Yamaha RD350: 2-Smoke Fun Machine
Buzzing down Martin Mill Pike I clicked the bike into third gear and threw it into a hard right corner. Remembering this was a buddy’s borrowed bike I backed off a bit but not for long as Nathan’s “Killer Bee” Yamaha RD350 just kept begging for more. The tires stuck well, the brakes had good feel, and the suspension felt predictable. All in all it was just about everything a I could wish for in a vintage bike.

- Return of the Dominator
Carlo Gagliardo (10), otherwise known as “The Dominator” to SEMRA members, returned to his dominating form in round three at Baker’s Creek Karting Club. Gagliardo had a perfect weekend, winning all three classes he had entered. Victories of the day for Gagliardo included Spec Heavyweight, Thumper 150, and Supermini. In fact, Gagliardo was only really challenged once during the entire weekend, by Cam Morehead in Thumper 150 competition.
