Stock CB360 carbs are getting harder and harder to find in usable shape these days. When I discovered the diaphragms of the stock carbs on my newly acquired ’75 CB360T were ripped, I decided to upgrade to a set of Mikuni VM32 carburetors.
Although the carbs were supposedly pre-jetted for my bike, it ran poorly with the new VM32s. After a little tweaking I discovered a setup that worked well. The changes needed were a reduction in the pilot jet from a 35 to a 30 and a reduction in the main jet from a 190 to a 150. Before the changes the bike fouled plugs on the bottom end and had an off idle stumble. After the jetting changes the bike’s running issues were eliminated and the little CB runs better than ever. Good luck!

Hey Ryan, thanks for posting this jetting info. I have a CJ360T that I have mounted VM32s on. I am having issues getting them dialed. But I think I have a bit different set up than you. I have pods and the 2 into 1 stock exhaust with a stubby end pipe with a baffle insert. Are you running pods?
Thanks
Clay
Yep, I’m running pods but have the stock exhaust setup. Hope that helps!
Thanks Ryan. I have tried your settings. But my does not seem to like it. The only way I can get the bike to rev good is to put the chokes on. But because they are circuit chokes it has me baffled. I have tried blocking air and larger pilots and mains as well as 25 pilots. Grrrr. Are you psure you have 32mm VM, not 30mm?
